Webinar: Launch of the WHO guideline on environmentally friendly and less invasive oral health care for preventing and managing dental caries

To celebrate World Oral Health Day 2026, WHO will host a global webinar marking the launch of its new guideline on environmentally friendly and less invasive oral health care for preventing and managing dental caries. This high‑level event will feature speakers including WHO Director‑General Dr Tedros, alongside experts and country representatives from across all WHO regions. 

They will present the new WHO recommendations, share country experiences, and highlight how the guideline supports global efforts to advance oral health, strengthen primary health care, and meet national obligations under the Minamata Convention on Mercury. The guideline provides a robust technical foundation on essential, safe and affordable oral health interventions while improving environmental sustainability. 

The webinar will be in English with French and Spanish interpretation.
